The series delves into the Culture of Peace movement in Brazil, which is gradually transforming structural violence and facilitating norms and institutions that create, guarantee, and sustain a more just and peaceful society. Hunger, racism, LGBTphobia. Gender inequality, sexual violence, discrimination, wars. Lack of basic rights, poverty, unemployment, deforestation, and environmental devastation. All of this is violence. Social injustice is violence from the perspective of the culture of peace. But let's face it, we're already full of bad examples. Violence is a global pandemic, but peace is also present. We just haven't been taught to see it yet.
