1981 – The Year of Flamengo
The documentary tells the story of how one of the greatest Brazilian football teams of all time was formed and looks back on Flamengo’s victory at the FIFA Intercontinental Cup in 1981, celebrating the 30th anniversary of the club’s World Champions title. Some of the greatest names in football appear in the documentary, such as Zico, Raul, Leandro, Tita, Adílio, Nunes and Andrade. Distinguished guests will also recollect the club’s epic trajectory.
1981 – The Year of Flamengo is written by Eduardo Monsanto, play-by-play announcer, reporter and show co-host of ESPN Brasil, and directed by Edu Rajabally, an experienced documentary filmmaker with an extensive resume including work for GNT, Multishow, TV Cultura, Sony/AXN, Canal Cuatro Espanhol, TVI from Portugal, Eurochannel, A&E and HBO.
